While the team’s hockey operations group was busy this past offseason bolstering what’s shaping up to be an impressive roster, the franchise’s innovation and experience team has been hard at work on game-changing upgrades to Kraken app. Technology is at the heart of how the Kraken connects with fans, starting with an app developed in-house with developers and designers.

With the puck dropping at 7 p.m. Saturday to start the first homestand of the 2022-23 season, it’s definitely time to update your Kraken app (easy to do on your phone’s app store by searching “Seattle Kraken “). If you haven’t downloaded the free Kraken app, you can. HERE – especially if you fancy more coverage of Kraken hockey with all the tickets, parking information and FAQs you need.

The app has been refreshed with a new homepage, as well as expanded player profile sections, more in-game highlights, a quick-to-apply game recap video, and all game coverage and highlights. Hockey analysis fans enjoyed last season. There will be more detailed information on individual players, the NHL and what we call Hockey 101/201/301 stories to explain the details and appeal of the sport. Go ahead, hockey fans, you won’t be disappointed.

A major update this season: fans in the arena can listen to our live radio broadcast via headphones/headphones in real time with, most importantly, no lag if using the app. The KJR 950/93.3 radio duo of play-by-play man Everett Fitzhugh and analyst Dave Tomlinson has never sounded better! Everett and Dave don’t just call the action of the game, they explain the rules, explain why a penalty was called, why a goal was reviewed, note nuances fans might not see in game speed, and more.

There are now goods available for purchase through the Kraken app. Inventory will refresh after a few games and fans will experience in-game items and app-specific options. You can support the Kraken inside Climate Pledge Arena, across the Pacific Northwest, and around the world. Tip: you can skip the line (although fans regularly notice how quickly it goes) and order ahead for even easier pickup.

On the must-have list: there will be a full line of buoy-themed items (plushes coming soon) and a new line of Filson looks. Plus, in a cool development, the Climate Pledge movement now has an outlet on the south end of The Living Wall, one of Seattle’s favorite selfie spots.
