Saurav Ghosal and Joshna Chinappa will lead the Indian men’s and women’s teams in the 20th Asian Team Squash Championship, to be held in Kuala Lumpur from November 30 to December 4.
The men’s team, which received the headliner, includes Ramit Tandon, Mahesh Mangaonkar and Velavan Senthilkumar, with the exception of Ghosal (world No. 15), a press release from the Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI). The same team will participate in the Men’s World Team Championship, which will be held after the Asian meeting in the Malaysian capital.

The third-ranked women’s team for the Asian event consists of Sunayna Kuruvilla, Urwashi Joshi and Aparajitha Balamurukan in addition to Chinappa, the top-ranked Indian player.
The Asian Tag Team Championship, a biennial event was scheduled for 2020 but was postponed to this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Among the 12 teams in the men’s event, the Indian men’s team was ranked highest, while the women’s team is ranked third among the eight teams.
After the Asian Team Championship, the men’s team will compete in the World Team Championship from December 7 to 12. Seeds for the event, which is attended by 25 countries, are expected, the statement said.
