Report from Tony’s 10m group | Southgate Amateur Radio News

Not a bad week but there was nothing exceptional about it. 7Q7EMH (Malawi hospital) (Star Trek Voyager, emergency medical hologram?), V51MA (Namibia) and 8I77I (Indonesia special).

I worked some FT4 and FT8, OG0C (Aland Is), 4X02LH (Israeli Lighthouse), HI3AA (Dominican Republic). I’m still looking for Hawaii. Maybe this weekend at the Hawaii QSO Party.

Ignacio, TI3IES said, “With few options this weekend, after a few minutes of turning the dial I listened to this station but it seems that it did not receive anyone, or only I listened to it and it did not listened to. That will be another time. PU5BB 5/7”
Keep trying Ignacio. Maybe you need to choose another time of day.

Finally today I received my QSL card 3DA0RU (Eswatini) via Royal Mail. Nice, I already got confirmation from 10m contact via LoTW.

Football: Stoke City drew 2-2 against Middlesbrough last Wednesday, earning the tie with a last-minute goal. Then at home Stoke managed to lose to Sunderland 0 – 1. Doh! And I couldn’t make it to that game because there was a rail strike. Blackburn absent this Saturday. I will go to RAF Halton where my Radio Club is and listen to the game while I return.

Locust: England versus South Africa. Last week I said the weather might be an issue. This was not the case. England collapsed and lost by an innings and 12 runs with 2½ days left to play. It’s so poor. I feel sorry for the spectators who bought tickets for day 3, 4 and 5. And Lord’s cricket ground will have lost so much money. The next match kicks off at Old Trafford on Thursday.
