Government of Pakistan Officially Launches National Online Passport Fee Application –

In Pakistan, the online passport fee application has already been launched in major cities, but the good news is that it is now extended to all over Pakistan. Following its release in major cities, the new online passport fee application is now accessible across Pakistan. Recently, the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DIGP) launched the app for public use when it received orders from the Ministry of Home Affairs of Pakistan.

The online passport fee application is called “Passport Fee Asaan”

Home Minister of Pakistan, Rana Sanaullah today officially launched the app named “asaan passport fee” for public use. According to reports, the app is designed and developed to be easily usable by every individual in the country. In this regard, the Prime Minister’s (PM) Strategic Reforms Chief, Salman Sufi, tweeted that Rana Sanaullah, the Home Minister inaugurated the app, Asaan passport fees. He also has revealed that the app has been enabled for public use.

Salman Sufi further claimed that the service will enable millions of citizens to pay their fees without having to queue at banks. Undoubtedly, this is one of the many other good installations that will be launched in the coming months. The brand new app is available on the Play Store and Apple Store. In addition, citizens will be able to pay their passport fees through the DGIP web portal, PayMaster.

Previously, the online payment facility was available for Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Lahore, and was due to launch in Karachi this month. However, the ministry has now activated it nationwide just ahead of its planned launch in the financial capital. Citizens will receive e-mail notifications and short message service (SMS) after successful payment of fees through the online procedure. It will be presented as proof at the passport office. The point to mention here is that once the passport issuance process has started, the payment is non-refundable and non-transferable.
