Dana Brooke talks about her future goals and what it meant to her to receive a compliment from Beth Phoenix on live TV.
Dana Brooke has been with WWE for many years and only recently won her first championship, the WWE 24/7 Championship. Now she talks about her ups and downs in a new interview with Alistair McGeorge of Metro.
Dana reveals that she has always felt nervous, but now that she has momentum, she thinks she can elevate her career and go for a Tag Team Championship or even the WWE Raw Women’s Championship.
“I was always on the edge where it was like, ‘Am I going to be used? Am I not going to be used?’ Now that I have this title, I feel like my toes are in the water,” she said. “I’m used, I show depth in my character.”
She continued, “Now that’s the next step – I’m going to find a partner, and I’m after these women’s tag team titles, with this on my side! Or I can go and face the Raw Women’s Championship – maybe it’s not a win the first time, but it’s a momentum, it’s a progression that I feel like I can completely dive into.”
On the January 17 episode of Monday Night Raw, Beth Phoenix congratulated Dana Brooke on her success. For Dana, she has always been a fan of Beth Phoenix and says she would love to be able to team up with a Hall of Famer and potentially win the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship.
